During the February reception of citizens, representatives of Avtoideya LLC approached the head of the environmental protection agency with a question about the possibility of supporting the eco-initiative for improvement and landscaping – Andrey Khudyk expressed his willingness to cooperate.
No sooner said than done! On April 11, an alley of the future Park of a Thousand Plants appeared in the residential complex “Green Harbor” (Minsk region). More than 100 honored guests gathered to plant seedlings. Representatives of the central office of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Minsk Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection also took part in the event.
On this day, 138 trees were planted, which will provide oxygen production of up to 16.5 tons and carbon dioxide absorption of up to 3 tons annually. The territory was decorated with young spruce, pine, birch, maple and rowan trees, which can be admired from mid-spring to late autumn – in each season the park will open up with different shades, sounds and smells. A memorial pylon was installed on the alley.
Work on the park formation will take place in the coming months, the opening of the facility is planned before the end of the year. The event organizers – A-100 Development and OOO “AVTOIDEYA” – noted that this joint eco-initiative is taking place within the framework of the declaration of intent to support the ESG strategy.
In addition to parks, Green Harbor is developing infrastructure for electric vehicles. Forevo charging stations are already operating in residential areas and parking lots. In the coming years, their number will increase tenfold – a total of 140 electric charging stations.
