On 23 January 2026, Yevgeniy Rachevskiy, Deputy Director for State Ecological Expertise, and Vladimir Gamezo, Deputy Head of the State Ecological Expertise Department, took part as international experts in public hearings on the planned construction of the Sea Breeze Uzbekistan tourism complex in the Charvak Reservoir area of the Tashkent Region.
Their participation ensured professional engagement and practical, mutually beneficial expert cooperation in the field of state ecological expertise. It also provided valuable international experience in public hearings held as part of environmental impact assessment procedures.
On 24 January 2026, the Centre’s representatives signed a 2026 Cooperation Roadmap between the state educational institution “Republican Centre for State Environmental Expertise, Training, Professional Development and Retraining” of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus and the state institution “Centre for State Ecological Expertise” under the State Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Roadmap signing was accompanied by bilateral meetings between the expert institutions of Belarus and Uzbekistan. The meetings aimed to facilitate the exchange of scientific, technical, and methodological expertise, as well as practical knowledge and best practices related to key projects in the areas of state ecological expertise and environmental impact assessment. These events marked the start of the Roadmap’s practical implementation and the activities outlined within it.
