Ecology and Good Deeds: A Joint Initiative of the Centre and the Parish of the Church of St. Nicholas of Japan

Ahead of World Environment Day, employees of the Centre, headed by Director Tatiana Dubik, visited the parish of the Church of St. Nicholas of Japan in Minsk.

As part of the visit, four copies of the fifth edition of the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus were donated to the parish library. The publications will be used in the educational activities of the Sunday school, including during “green class” lessons, helping to expand students’ knowledge of rare and endangered species of animals and plants, as well as to foster environmental culture and a responsible attitude towards natural heritage.

In addition, employees of the Centre took part in the improvement of the “Kamennaya Gorka” ecological trail located on the parish grounds. Work was carried out to clean the area and maintain it in proper condition. The meeting took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere and became an example of effective cooperation in the field of environmental education, environmental protection, and the promotion of a caring attitude towards nature.
