On 19 February, a meeting of the final board of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus took place at the Minsk International Exhibition Centre. During the meeting, the Ministry’s results for 2025 were reviewed and the key priorities for 2026 were outlined.
The session combined discussions of performance results with ceremonial moments dedicated to the people who contribute every day to the development of the environmental protection sector.
The Board of Honour of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus was updated. Among the employees whose professional achievements were recognised was Oksana Tsipan, a Centre employee and Head of the State Ecological Expertise Department for the Brest Region.
Notably, of the 20 top employees in the sector placed on the Board of Honour, 15 are women, which highlights the important women role in environmental protection.
An awards ceremony also took place as part of the meeting. A Certificate of Honour from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus was awarded to Vitaliy Khmelenko, a specialist of the State Ecological Expertise Department for the Grodno Region. A Letter of Appreciation from the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus was presented to Alyona Matyulina, Chief Accountant.
