From November 10 to 20, 2025, the Department of Energy Efficiency is holding a national information and educational campaign, “Belarus – an Energy-Efficient Country.” It is timed to coincide with International Energy Saving Day (November 11).
The campaign is being held in order to implement the provisions of the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated 14.06.2007 No. 3 “On priority areas for strengthening the economic security of the state”, the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated 08.01.2015 No. 239-Z “On energy saving”.
The purpose of the campaign is to raise public awareness of the importance of efficient energy use and possible ways and methods of saving energy, including in everyday life and at home. This is a significant measure in improving the well-being of citizens and the country’s economic growth as a whole.
Considering that efficient and sustainable energy consumption largely depends on the mobilization of efforts by all government agencies, institutions, organizations, businesses, public associations, and the media, the Department of Energy Efficiency encourages you to join the national information and educational campaign “Belarus – an Energy-Efficient Country” and actively participate in informing employees and the public about the importance of energy efficiency and ways to save energy in everyday life.
In honor of International Energy Saving Day, the Department of Energy Efficiency is organizing a series of thematic events: roundtable discussions and training seminars for specialists; open lessons and information hours, intellectual games, competitions, and quizzes for children and youth; mini-competitions for social media followers; hotlines to answer the most pressing questions from citizens and organizations; and press events for media representatives.
The events are aimed at drawing attention to energy efficiency and conservation issues, promoting the economic, environmental, and social benefits of an energy- and resource-efficient lifestyle in a manner accessible to a wide range of citizens, and strengthening our country’s energy independence.
