The district theoretical and practical exercises on the localization and elimination of an anthrax outbreak were held at the Centre.
The event was opened by Anastasia Korol, epidemiologist physician and head of the anti-epidemic department of the Partizansky District Centre of Hygiene and Epidemiology of Minsk, who outlined the key objectives of the exercises and emphasized the importance of coordinated work among all services. A report was delivered by epidemiologist physician Vladislav Savko, who spoke about the organization of medical care and the implementation of sanitary and anti-epidemic measures in the event of detecting the disease.
The practical part of the exercises was carried out using the Centre’s EcoDom hotel as an example, where a situation involving the detection of the disease was simulated. With the participation of the Centre’s staff, training video materials were prepared and filmed to demonstrate the procedure to be followed in such cases. During the exercises, participants practiced practical skills related to localizing the infection source and coordinating the interaction of services.
The results were summarized by epidemiologist physician Olga Utkina, who noted the high level of participants’ preparedness. At the end, participants asked questions of interest and discussed practical aspects of the work.
